Janet Velez is a native New Yorker.  She earned an A.A.S. (Deans List) and a B.A. in Legal Studies from New York City College of Technology (CUNY).  While in undergrad, Ms. Velez clerked for a Judge in Family Court Proceedings and gained experience in adoptions, child neglect, terminations of parental rights and child support.  

Soon after, Ms Velez began working in the Immigration Field and has over 13 years experience. Her fields of interest include, but are not limited to, Immigration Law, Family Law, Real Estate Law, Public Advocacy, and Legal Translations (Spanish).  Ms. Velez has a great interest in assisting others continuously serving her community.  Ms. Velez is on the road to enrolling in a Masters Program for Public or Business Administration. Ms. Velez has experience in both the Private and Public Sector.

 She strongly believes in her motto of “Juntos Podemos!”  “Together we can!”
